The Body’s Wisdom

September 10th, 2023

Hi Healing Friends,

It has been a bit since writing here. The rhythms of life took over and summer in Santa Fe went by with heat.. and a quickening of sorts. The sun was hot and the days felt long and dry. I feel myself savoring the sweetness of cooler air and the subtlety that Fall brings. I love the gentle way this season seems to caress tender places… and invoke magic between the veils.

I have been reflecting on the wisdom these bodies we live in hold for us. Not quite sure how to put it into words… or explanation. But wanting nonetheless to breathe life into my appreciation, recognition of these sacred vessels that we call home. To feel the way we are more liquid wave than solid particle, light than density, alchemy in motion. The body is always ready to open, to unwind, willing to show up for us and see what is there. Symptoms of pain and dis-ease are expressions of what has been held, unbearable, unable to find its way, places that are longing for tending, calling for loving care. Defense shows up as protectors doing their best to keep us safe from harm, looking, too for love.

True essence waits right beneath the surface, when the patterns of conditioning, defense and survival are suspended ~ and life invites us to rest in being to take refuge in the grace that is holding us, holding all this. To recollect and remember this sacred holy temple that is this body. The body’s wisdom is leading us home always, all ways. May we listen.
